The farm is uniquely located in central Oslo.Bygdø Royal Manor covers 2000 decares including forest and beaches, of which 740 decares are cultivated land where feed is produced for the livestock on the farm. We follow DEBIO's rules for ecological operation in a 1000-year-old cultural landscape.

Kongeskogen

Kongeskogen on Bygdøy is one of Oslo's most used recreational areas. Kongeskogen has a varied vegetation, valuable geological deposits and the area was an important part of the 1800s folk park at Bygdø Royal Manor.

Villa Gjøa is the only remaining royal villa that was built in the late 1800s. Villa Gjøa will be our base for nature education and 4H has helped us furnish the outbuilding as a nature meeting place. A nature trail has also been established from Villa Gjøa to the Umbrella.
