Welcome to Bygdø Royal Manor!
- Bygdø Royal Manor is an organic farm in full operation, and it is important to go together / in a hiking series for safety and well-being.
- Feel free to say hello to our animals. They are best when you are calm, and you are only allowed to pet them accompanied by a guide.
- It is a good idea to have good footwear and clothes that can withstand a wash.
- There is some distance between the various venues at Bygdø Kongsgård. If you choose the whole trip, it is from the main entrance barn via the visitor yard to the nursery about 1050 meters.
Transport
Bus 30 to the stop Kongsgården or stroll from Skøyen 15 minutes/ by boat from the city to Dronningen walking time 15 minutes.
Attendance
The guide meets the group at the barn, Bygdøyveien 42.
The teacher states to the guide the number of students/children who are involved. It is important to have peace around the animals, and the adults in the company of the children contribute to this while the guide is in charge of the visit.
Lunch break
Eat your packed lunch up by the stables in Wedels vei no 1. There is a quieter environment, nice picnic benches and toilets. We also offer an indoor packed lunch room. It is possible to dispose of a fire pit if you bring barbecue charcoal etc yourself. Bonfire bans during the season are maintained.
There is a seasonal café at Rohdeløkken. There is a year-round café at the Norwegian Folk Museum.
