Stable rules, safety and responsibility

Horses are large animals and it can be dangerous for both the rider and those who travel in the stable if we do not take precautions. 

All riding and interaction with the farm's animals is at your own risk. The riding school is not responsible for injuries that students and visitors may incur or accidents that may occur within the riding school's area. 

Stable Rules

  • ONLY ACCESS for employees/trained stable helper, riders with parents and pre-booked tour.
  • Do not go in to a horse if you have not clarified with the stable guard. The horses should have as much peace as possible.
  • It is not allowed to bring dogs or other pets.
  • Walk calmly and don't shout.
  • Do not feed the animals. All animals should only have food at fixed times. The treat should be placed in a crib, not feed from the hand. Clarify with the stable guard what you can give them.
  • If you saddle off as the last rider, you must clean the hooves, rinse the bit and hang equipment in place. Rinse or sponge horse if it is sweaty. Get help from a stable guard.
  • Do not pick up or enter the pen of any of the small animals.
  • Have respect for riding instructors and stable guards.

Riding arena rules

  • Only the instructor and students will be on the field. Parents must come in and rent if they are called in.
  • There should be calm around the pitch. No dogs, umbrellas, running children etc.
  • Don't disrupt classes. If you have comments to the instructor or student, this must be done AFTER the class.
  • In the event of a fall, no one should enter the course until the instructor asks for assistance. Students must stop riding but not get off. Horses without a rider must be secured before approaching a student who has fallen off. It is the instructor who decides what to do next.
  • The left hand has the track, i.e. the left shoulder against the left shoulder when you meet a horse. If you are on a volte or step off, you have a duty to give way.
  • Embarking/disembarking is done on the midline.
  • Horses that are hired in/out of the track must have reins lying over their necks, DO NOT take them over the horse's head.
  • The pitch must always be mucked and cleaned!!

Photography and filming

  • It is not allowed to photograph or film children who are participants in riding courses or riding the Riding School's horses without the consent of all parents and children involved.
  • It must never be filmed by spectators around the riding arena without the consent of the instructor and riders.
  • In addition, we ask that you do not post pictures/videos on social media of children riding the Riding School's horses without the consent of parents and children.
